THE COLOR PURPLE

Not only was The Color Purple (Am English spelling) a great film to watch but also the phrase that Oprah Winfrey (who starred in the film) expressed as Barack Obama won the recent presidential elections in the US “The Color Purple has won.”

It also seems a very positive year for afro/american and anglo/african celebrities from Lewis Hamilton’s recent win of the World Gran Prix racing title to Halle Berry’s nomination of the sexiest woman of 2008. I am perhaps a long way down the line with my anglo/african roots but now we know and have known all along, it’s not about the colour of your skin but how good you are! I hope to follow in these peoples footsteps with my Teaching English to Adults, Aniya ;-)

  1. You’ve got a great blog I should visit more often. I need to improve my English and have assigned me daily tasks that with a little luck will give result.

You might find three of my latest blog entries interesting, starting at the 7th of November. (http://writerofmoviescripts.blogspot.com/)

That’s when I find a grammar book in the bookshelf.
